Woman rescued on Mount Lemmon

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Around 5:30 p.m., a 30-year-old woman was flown from the Butterfly Trail on Mount Lemmon with a broken ankle.

She was taken to a Tucson hospital. 

Mount Lemmon fire tried to rescue her, Pima County Sheriff's Deputy Tom Peine said. But the terrain was too rugged.

Pima County Sheriff's search and rescue and Southern Arizona Rescue Association personnel took over and assisted the woman.
