BISBEE, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
According to the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, there was an officer-involved shooting in the Naco area, the same area that Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Ivie was shot and killed Tuesday morning.
Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a motorcycle that did not stop for Bisbee police officers on Naco Highway just before 9 p.m.
According to officers, the motorcyclist stopped and fired at the officers, who proceeded to fire back. The suspect then fled.
Officers found the suspect after police received a reporter of a injured man from a resident in Douglas.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound. The investigation is on going.
