Shooting on Park Avenue

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Fire reports that a shooting took place in the 2000 Block of S. Park Ave. That is near Park and Silverlake Road. 

Tucson Fire says at least one person was being transported to the hospital. According to Tucson Police Sgt. Maria Hawke, the victim is a 30-year-old man.

He suffered from non-life threatening injuries after being shot behind a business.

    The Pima County Board of Supervisors reversed a decision made two weeks ago and has decided to accept a federal Stonegarden federal grant from the Department of Homeland Security for $1.4 million. The money will be used by the Pima County Sheriff's Department as part of its border strategy with federal agencies.
