For the first time on Monday, we are getting a glimpse of the rugged terrain where fallen border patrol agent, Nicholas Ivie died.
Up until recently, the area east of Bisbee about 3 1/2 miles from the border was restricted because of the FBI investigation. But, now, we can finally see just how dense this terrain is.
On top of the very thick brush and cacti, the shooting happened early in the morning, so it was pitch black out.
Investigators still have not said how far apart the two agents were standing from one another when they opened fire.
We're told the area is known for drug smugglers because of its close proximity to the border. So, the agents were probably on very high alert.
