U.S. Senator Jon Kyl made the announcement at the UA Main Library that he will be donating historic material from his time as congressman and U.S. senator.
He's been in office for the past 26 years. He hopes it will be useful to students when they study public policy or simply just learn about Arizona history.
As you can imagine, during that time he has covered a variety of issues from immigration reform to water issues.
He says giving back to his alma mater is important to him.
Senator Jon Kyl will be retiring after this term.
He says he's excited to enter the private sector and hopes his successor will have similar ideas as him.
