Wildcat Breakdown: UCLA

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

How bad was Arizona Football's loss to UCLA at the Rose Bowl Saturday night?

Pretty bad actually. The 56-point defeat wasn't the worst loss in UA history but it does have a standing on its own.

Point wise it's only the fifth largest margin of defeat for UA, but it is the largest loss as far as point-differential in the modern-era.

The Cats lost by 54 at Washington (54-0) under Dick Tomey in 1991 and John Mackovic's 2003 club fell by 52 at Purdue (59-7).

The overall top four losses for Arizona Football all happened prior to 1960:

1) Michigan State 75, Arizona 0 (1949)
2) USC 78, Arizona 7 (1928)
3) USC 69, Arizona 6 (1923)
4) Minnesota 62, Arizona 0 (1939)
5) UCLA 66, Arizona 10 (2012)
