Brooklyn community to get some help from local Rabbi

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A Tucson Rabbi is heading to New York to help one of the communities hit hardest by super storm Sandy.

Rabbi Ceitlin, from Tucson is flying out to New York to bring help to victims in Coney Island's Sea Gate in Brooklyn.  Ceitlin is part of Chabad Tucson, a Jewish outreach network.  He will be assisting Sea Gate's hundred-year-old Jewish community, one that is run by Ceitlin's cousin.

Lucky for the community many residents evacuated before the worst of Sandy hit, but many homes are completely destroyed.  Residents have been salvaging what they can from the ruins of cars piled up on one another, and homes ripped off their foundations.

Rabbi Ceitlin will be offering much needed emotional support to those who have lost everything.  He will be leaving Tucson tomorrow.
