A Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper was involved in a wreck on his way into work, according to authorities.
The accident happened just before 8 a.m. when the trooper ran off the roadway near Old Bascom and Old Omen Road, not far from University Drive where the DPS office is.
The trooper was transported to a Tyler hospital as a precaution, but authorities say he is not injured. The accident has cleared.
The exact cause of the wreck is not known at this time.
