Police link 2 men arrested in Oro Valley to ATM crimes in Maricopa Co.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Two men accused of trying to steal an ATM machine from an Oro Valley bank have been linked to four similar cases in Maricopa County.

Oro Valley police arrested Gerald Paul Cox, 46, and LeVar Coryell Mariner, 34, yesterday. They were booked into the Pima County Jail for theft, criminal damage, and theft of means of transportation.

According to a news release from the Gilbert Police Department, evidence found at two residences, one in Gilbert and one in Chandler, implicated the suspects in four ATM cases in Maricopa County.

One theft and one attempted theft occurred in Phoenix and two other cases happened in Gilbert, the release said.

According to a news release from the Oro Valley Police Department, the suspects were seen early Monday morning trying to steal the ATM located at the Chase Bank in the 11500 block of North Oracle Road.

The Oro Valley Police Department is working with the Gilbert Police Department for possible additional charges related to several similar incidents in Maricopa County.
