Anyone who has ever hit one of Tucson's many potholes has something riding on the outcome of the vote on Prop 409.
Proposition 409 will let the city float $100 million in bonds to fix city streets. Those opposed argue the taxpayer has already paid once and shouldn't have to again.
As of 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, the vote was too close to call. It was split 50 percent for and 50 percent against with 97 percent of precincts reporting. There are 900 more votes against the proposition.
