TRAFFIC ALERT: Railroad crossing closure at Ina Road

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The railroad crossing at Ina Road will be closing, temporarily due to construction repairs for Union Pacific Railroad.

Ames Construction, Inc. will close the crossing from November 8 at 8 p.m. and it will remain closed until November 11 at 4 p.m. 

Motorists who use Ina, will be detoured to either Orange Grove or Cortaro Road via Thornydale or Oldfather Road when approaching from the east, and via the I-10 Frontage roads when approaching from the west. 

Businesses near the tracks will remain open and accessible.  The schedule may be delayed due to weather or unforeseen conditions.

    The Douglas Fire Department said an early morning fire damaged the Denny's restaurant on Fifth Street. DFD said the fire appeared to have started in the kitchen with a deep fryer.
