Modern streetcar closes down Broadway from Church to Stone

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

At 6 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, the contractor will begin the repair and replacement of the re-designed sewer system that extends across Broadway from Church Avenue to just west of the Stone Avenue intersection.

Current conditions of the sewer lines and manholes require extensive underground work. The boundaries of the work area and safety considerations necessitate Broadway from Church Avenue to Stone Avenue to be completely closed.

The closure will be in effect 24 hours-per-day and is expected to be in place through mid-December 2012.
