Shipment of cucumbers garnished with cannabis

NOGALES (Tucson News Now) - A truck driver tried to slip some illegal extras across the border with a shipment of cucumbers.

Customs agents found more than 1,800 pounds of marijuana hidden in the load.  It was in a tractor-trailer pulled over this weekend for additional inspection.

 

An x-ray scan revealed the hidden drugs worth more than $700,000.

The driver is under arrest.
