Police investigating robbery at UA parking garage

UA Police are searching for two men they suspect are involved in a strong-armed robbery today in the Park Avenue parking garage.

One of the suspects is described as an Asian man, mid- to late 20s, with short hair and wearing an unknown colored baseball hat, sunglasses, a white T-shirt, and shorts.

The other suspect is described as a white man, mid- to late 20s, 5'10", with short blond hair, wearing a white T-shirt and shorts.

According to the UA Police Department, a male UA student was walking in the 1100 block of East Helen Street when he exchanged words with two men in a white van. The victim walked into the garage and was later approached by one of the men, who demanded he surrender his property.

The victim handed over his property and the suspect returned to the van, which was last seen traveling east on Helen Street and south on Mountain Avenue.

The van is described as a white late-model 15-passenger van with no windows on the side panels and no distinctive markings.

No weapon was observed and the victim was not injured.
