Lower gas prices mean more holiday road trips

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Good news for drivers this morning.  Gas prices throughout the state continue to fall.

For the third week straight lower prices have been hitting the pumps across Arizona.  This is the perfect timing for people heading out of town for Thanksgiving.

Nine out of ten Arizonans are expected to hit the road for the holiday.  AAA Arizona says travelers are looking to do more with less this year and the lower pump prices are making that possible for a lot of drivers.

Here is the breakdown; Tucson the average price is $3.20 a gallon; Phoenix average price is $3.50.  While the national average is $3.43.
