Officer-involved shooting in midtown Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Police are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in midtown.

It happened Sunday morning near Broadway and Alvernon.

Tucson Police have confirmed that an officer was injured during the incident. Chief Villaseñor will be making a statement from UAMC shortly.

Right now, few details are available regarding the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

In addition to several officers, a Tucson Police S.W.A.T. Team is now at the scene.
