Business and economy news site Economic News Journal adds investor Luke Weil to its editorial board, citing his experience in the business sector as a valuable contribution to the site’s voice.

Economics blog Economic News Journal announced today that investor Luke Weil has been appointed the newest member of its editorial board. Weil and his ventures have been featured numerous times on the site, and he joins the site on the other side of publication to lend his unique perspective on current business news. Weil attended Brown University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2002 and becoming an analyst at Bear Stearns Companies. He moved on to work at consulting firm Business Strategies & Insight, Inc. In 2006, Weil returned to school at Columbia Business School, graduating with his MBA in 2008. He currently works as Vice President of International Business Development in Latin America for Scientific Games Corporation.
Economic News Journal has chosen Luke Weil as a member of its editorial board based on his experience as a member of various corporations and an active investor. The periodical has also cited his work outside of his professional endeavors. Weil engages in philanthropy as a member of the board of directors for the Fortune Society, a nonprofit social service and advocacy organization dedicated to facilitating the successful transition of incarcerated persons from prison back into society.
