TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
After several weeks in the hospital, a bicyclist hit by a
car died.
Randall Meneses, 56, was riding his bike near Glenn and First
Avenue on October 10 when he was hit by a car just after 10:30 a.m. Meneses'
injuries were at first thought to be minor.
But on November 14, he died due to complications related to
his injuries.
Police say Meneses was not wearing a helmet at the time of
the accident.
The driver remained at the scene after the accident and was
cited for a civil traffic violation related to the collision.
So far this year there have been three fatal bicycle
accidents in Tucson.
