Parachutist recovering in Marana from hard landing

MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A parachutist is recovering from a hard landing at Marana Regional Airport today.

Marana Police say an Air Force Academy demo team, called the Wings of Blue, was doing a jump this morning when one of the members had to use its reserve parachute.

He hit the ground with a hard landing but his injuries don't appear to be serious.

Police say the parachutist only reported an injury to his right knee.

He's been taken to the hospital for treatment.
