Midtown crash injures five people

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Police and Tucson Fire are on the scene of a five-vehicle crash in Midtown.

The crash happened at approximately 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the intersection of 22nd Street and Alvernon Way, when the driver of a Dodge pickup ran a red light.

Tucson Fire says five people were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Two of those people suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries.  

Traffic restrictions are now in place, as police and fire crews work to clear the area.
