Rescue crews search for missing Oro Valley woman

ORO VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Rescue crews from several local agencies are now searching for an Oro Valley woman who was last seen on Wednesday.

Janet M. Rennspies was last seen by her family Wednesday morning, and had not returned home by that evening. Her family then contacted Oro Valley Police.  

Lt. Kara Riley tells Tucson News Now, OVPD put an attempt to locate out in Pima and Pinal county on Rennspies.  When she still had not been located on Thanksgiving Day, she was entered into the national computer system as missing. 

Lt. Riley says family members located Rennspies vehicle on Mt. Lemmon in the parking lot of the observatory. OVPD then contacted the Pima County Sheriff's Department to assist with the investigation.

Pima County Sheriff's Departments Search and Rescue unit, Southern Arizona Rescue Association, Southwest Rescue Dogs, and Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue (BORSTAR). are searching the Mt. Lemmon area right now.

Rennspies is 51-years old, Caucasian, 5'05", 125 lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Authorities are asking anyone who has seen her, or has any information on her whereabouts to contact Oro Valley Police Department at 520-229-4900, 88-Crime or 911.
