TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
The Arizona Daily Star's Thanksgiving edition was the largest the newspaper has produced.
Each copy of Thursday's edition weighed more than 5 pounds, the newspaper's marketing department said in a news release.
The Daily Star had more than 1,000 pages, including 876 pages of advertising.
In its most-coveted advertising zone, the newspaper had 103 inserts, the news release said.
The newspaper is the state's second largest, behind The Arizona Republic in Phoenix, with a daily circulation of 106,000 and Sunday circulation of 160,000.
Lee Enterprises, Inc., the Daily Star's parent company, emerged from a prepackaged Chapter 11 bankruptcy process earlier this year.
In October, Lee said it had reduced its debt to $930.6 million from roughly $1 billion.
