Yesterday morning, a constable went to a home in the 1900 block of West Nava to serve an eviction notice. The constable saw that the door was unlocked and upon entering found a dead man inside.
The victim was identified as 67-year-old William Salamonsen. His death was later ruled a homicide. David Gallagher, 55, also lived at the home and was interviewed by police.
Gallagher was then arrested for second degree murder.
Police say Salamonsen had obvious signs of trauma, but details are not being released due to investigative reasons.
