Homes evacuated for gas leak on Tucson's west side

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Six homes were evacuated because of a gas leak on Tucson's west side.

Northwest Fire crews responded to the scene of a gas meter that was struck and began leaking in an alleyway in the 4000 block of North Tuttle Avenue.

Six homes in the immediate area near West Roger Road and North Fairview Avenue were evacuated.

No injuries were reported.

Tuttle Ave as well as North Palm Grove Drive are restricted because of fire apparatus and operations.
