TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

An arrest has been made in a homicide that happened nearly a year ago. Bryan Foshay, 36, was arrested and charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of Brian Blackwell.

Blackwell was found dead inside an apartment on January 30 at Desert Shadows, 8500 East Old Spanish Trail, after a relative had stopped in to check on him. Police immediately determined the cause of death was murder.

The complex is located next to several other apartment communities along Old Spanish Trail near Broadway and Camino Seco.

"It came essentially as a medical call," says Sgt. Matt Ronstadt of the Tucson Police Department.  "A family member reported that they had found their deceased family member inside the apartment."

Through the investigation, detectives believe Foshay got into a fight with Blackwell. The motive and other specifics are not being released due to the ongoing investigation.
