GREEN VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
A
22-year-old Tucson woman is in critical condition after a crash on Interstate
19 south of Green Valley.
According
to Green Valley Fire, the woman lost control and crashed into the median around
5 p.m. Monday.
Rescue
crews found the car wrapped around the tree with the woman trapped inside. Crews
used the Jaws of Life to get the woman out of the car.
She
was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Northbound
lanes of I-19 were shut down for about an hour. The cause of the accident is
still under investigation.
