TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
More Nogales Police officers are expected to patrol the I-19 in search of drugs, weapons, and money.
Some of that drug money may be used to whittle away at the costs of a new police facility.
The Nogales Police Department got a new chief just a month ago and now officers in charge of those interstate patrols believe the program will continue to get th support it needs.
At the same time, plans for a new facility are moving forward.
A new Nogales Police headquarters will cost millions of dollars, but finding the money to pay for a new space has been tough.
