HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -
Hamilton residents got another chance to voice their opinion on proposed cuts to the fire department on Tuesday.
As part of next year's budget, City Manager Joshua Smith proposed the layoff of 18 firefighters, which is 20% of the force.
Smith's plan also included closing the Shuler Avenue Firehouse until 2014.
The city needs to cut $2.3 million from the budget for 2013.
Council is expected to vote on the proposal on December 26th.
