Cats footballers earn more honors

TUCSON, Ariz. – Seven member of the Arizona football team earned all-conference honors from Phil Steele Publications, it was announced on Tuesday. The Wildcats had four offensive and three defensive honorees.

Sophomore Austin Hill, a Biletnikoff award semifinalist, was named first-team All-Pac-12 at the receiver position. Senior Matt Scott at the quarterback position and sophomore Ka'Deem Carey at the running back position were both named second-team all-conference. Senior Dan Buckner earned third-team accolades, also at the receiver position.

Junior Jake Fischer led the defense with second-team All-Pac-12 honors at the linebacker position. Junior Marquis Flowers at the linebacker position and sophomore Jared Tevis at the defensive back position earned third-team all-conference honors.

The Wildcats will take on the Nevada Wolf Pack on Sat., Dec. 15 at the Gildan New Mexico Bowl. The game will air at 11 a.m. MT on ESPN.
