Jesus Zepeda
Sterling Lytle
TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
Tucson News Now has learned that a guilty plea has been entered from the
man who killed an off-duty firefighter.
Jesus Zepeda pled guilty to negligent
homicide, a class 4 felony, for the deadly hit and run that killed Nogales
firefighter Sterling Lytle over the summer.
Lytle was ran over in a midtown parking lot
on June 28. He was riding with a friend when a pickup
began honking its horn and flashing its lights.
Police say Lytle got out and that's when Zepeda ran him down and sped a way.
A city wide search was launched to look for
that truck and a month later Zepeda turned himself in. He's facing 4to 8 years in prison when he's
sentenced in February.
