CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
A judge approved a bid from the city of Cincinnati to purchase a downtown mall on Wednesday.
Cincinnati City Council approved a plan to bid on Tower Place Mall and the attached parking garage, back in November.
On Wednesday, a Hamilton County judge approved the $8.5 million bid.
The mall is located downtown at 28 West 4th Street.
Officials say funding will not come from the city's general fund, but rather, the city's parking fund.
The city has not yet hired a developer or released exact details for the project.
