Deadlines are nearing for holiday shipping in time for Christmas

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

With Christmas five days away time is running out to get those gifts mailed in. 

It is getting down to the last few days to get those holiday gifts and cards in the mail.  This is the busiest week for the Postal Service. 

They are processing 17.9 billion holiday cards and packages to make sure they arrive to their destinations in time for Christmas.

Here are important dates to keep in mind:

Today is the last day to mail items ‘First Class'; tomorrow (December 21) is the last day to ship your items through ‘Priority Mail', and if mailed on December 22, Express mail has to be used.
