ORO VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The quarterback for Ironwood Ridge High's state championship football team has narrowed his college choices to three.

Tyler Williams told rivals.com he's considering Yale, Air Force and Army. He's been recruited heavily by San Diego State, Colorado South Dakota State as well.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound senior said Army wide receivers coach Andy Guyander visited him in Oro Valley last week.

"It went well, it went really well," Williams said. "He just talked about the qualities of the guys that they recruit and they believe I fit into that mold. Also, just the leadership you would gain by attending West Point. I am going to try to make my visit there sometime in January."

Williams also said he plans to visit Yale on Jan. 4.
