TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson firefighters and local organizations are making sure kids at the University of Arizona Diamond Children's Center receive Christmas presents.

Kids inside of Diamond Children's are getting a special delivery today, presents from Santa, which they get to pick out themselves.

A special Santa shop has been set up inside the hospital filled with all kinds of toys and gifts.  Parents will even be able to wrap up the gifts for Christmas day.

This is part of the ‘adopt-a-family' program through the Tucson Fire Department Local 479.

Local firefighters have been spreading Christmas cheer through various events throughout the month.  They are able to do this kind of holiday event because of the proceeds from their annual chili cook off.

Children will shop in the Santa Shop today starting at 1 p.m.

Tomorrow on Christmas morning Tucson Fire Station One and Santa Claus will deliver stockings to children in the hospital.
