TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
Crews are
set to replace more of the signs along Interstate 19 next week. Some of the new signs are already in
place.
Arizona transportation workers say they're
brighter, larger and easier to read. But, the new signs will still be in
kilometers. It's part of a statewide effort that began
earlier this year.
The project will require closing lanes and
ramps on parts of I-19 next Wednesday through Friday nights.
Here is a list of
areas that will be affected:
Wednesday, Jan. 2
- The northbound I-19 exit ramp at Pima Mine Road will be
closed from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- The northbound I-19 exit ramp at San Xavier Road will be
closed from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- The northbound I-19 exit ramp at Valencia Road will be closed
from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Thursday, Jan. 3
- The northbound I-19 exit ramp at Irvington Road will be
closed from 12 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- The northbound I-19 exit ramp to the westbound I-10 entrance
ramp will be closed from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m.
- The northbound I-19 exit ramp to the 29th Street
will be closed from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m.
- The northbound I-19 exit ramp at Ajo Way will be closed from
9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- The right lane on northbound I-19 at Ajo Way will be closed
from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- The northbound I-19 exit ramp to the westbound I-10 exit ramp
will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- The 29th Street exit ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5
a.m.
- The right lane on northbound I-19 will be closed from 9 p.m.
to 5 a.m.
- Eastbound Ajo Way to the northbound I-19 entrance ramp will
be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Friday, Jan. 4
- The left lane on northbound I-19 at Ajo Way will be closed
from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- The left lane on northbound I-19 to westbound I-10 will be
closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
