As family and friends visit Tucson for the holiday season, Saguaro National Park is getting busier as they host some pretty popular events.
Both of these nighttime events show off the beauty of the desert, at a time most people don't think about or picture, at night.
This evening is the night drive, the only one of the season. From 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. rangers will lead a caravan of cars to several overlooks, where they will talk about the desert plants, animals that are out in the winter season.
It is one of the most popular events of the year, every single ranger and many volunteers are on staff this evening. There is a $10 Park entrance fee for the event.
Happening tomorrow night is the night walk. A ranger will lead the walk over a trail. Those attending need to remember to bring a flashlight, but remember to enjoy the night vision as their eyes adjust to the light from the nearly full moon.
If interested in attending, please call ahead for reservations to (520) 733-5153.
