It's down to the last two days of the Winterhaven Festival of Lights and the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona is hoping that residents will stop by with a donation.
The Community Food Bank needs those donations now more than ever. The Food Bank is down about 20 percent in cash donations and 40 percent down in their food donations.
"This is a critical time for us because if we don't bring in the money in November, December it puts us in an awkward position for the following months, which means we could potentially cut services and possibly doing other things," said Cio Castillo from the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
Not only are donations down, but the Food Bank has seen an increase in demand for their services. For every dollar donated to the Food Bank they can distribute about $9 worth of food to people in need throughout the community.
