A Midtown home was damaged by a fire this morning.
The home in the 1200 block of North Euclid Avenue had been recently remodeled and the Tucson Fire Department said the new materials used helped keep the fire from spreading quickly.
A neighbor reported the fire and fire crews found the home filled with smoke. The fire had destroyed a couch and burned a wall, but was limited to a smolder in the upgraded insulation.
No one was injured in the fire and damage was estimated to be $70,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
