Mount Lemmon Highway closed Sunday due to heavy snow and white out conditions on Mount Lemmon, according to Monica Torralba of the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
Residents and people employed on the mountain can get up with chains or with four-wheel drive.
The Sheriff's Department says it will reevaluate the roadways in the morning.
First alert meteorologist Cuyler Diggs says it has been snowing on Mt. Lemmon since about 6:45 p.m. Sunday and that winds are up to 20 miles an hour up top.
