The Quadrantid Meteor Shower peaks Wednesday night into Thursday morning of this week.

NASA says the meteor shower is named after and extinct constellation.  And it's an impressive show with anywhere form 60 to 200 meteors per hour expected.

At around midnight Wednesday night into Thursday morning look to the sky. The meteors will originate from an area just below the Big Dipper.

The sky over Arizona will be clear for the meteor shower. But if you want to watch for shooting stars from the warmth of your home, NASA is also streaming a shot of the sky live from the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Click here for a link to the video feed.
