Man arrested following Winterhaven light theft

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A man is now facing charges, after Tucson Police say he was caught stealing Christmas lights from Winterhaven.

Sergeant Chris Widmer tells Tucson News Now, at around 9:45 a.m. Saturday residents were taking down lights, following the annual Festival of Lights, when they saw the man taking boxes of lights from the community area.

The residents called police, who responded and arrested Santiago Miranda Gonzales, 60.

Gonzales is now facing one count of Felony Theft.

Widmer says the 19 boxes of lights are worth about $4,000
