On the two-year anniversary of the January 8th mass shooting in Tucson, a television interview with former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly will air.
The two sat down with anchor Diane Sawyer for the interview set to air Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. EST. Diane Sawyer posted the attached picture to her Facebook page, along with this message: "I had the chance to speak with former Representative Gabby Giffords and her husband retired astronaut Mark Kelly this weekend. They spoke about an important new initiative they're launching - the interview will air on Tuesday on World News."
On Friday, Giffords and Kelly met with the families of victims in last month's shooting in Newtown, Conn. The couple met earlier in the week with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to discuss gun control.
