The City of Tucson Department of Transportation will be closing down lanes on Houghton between Valencia and Drexel.
The street will be down to one lane of traffic in each direction. Both lanes will be shifted to one side of the road.
The other change going into effect is that several dedicated right turn lanes are going away during the construction. Right turns will be allowed, just no dedicated lane.
The City of Tucson is warning the public to expect delays when driving through the area. There will be business and residential access where possible.
Drivers can expect to see construction beginning and road shifts starting this evening at 7 p.m.
