TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
On the second anniversary of the mass shooting here in Tucson, a
75 foot banner arrived in Newtown, Connecticut in support of the community.
The banner was a gift, signed by Tucsonans during a BEYOND event
on Saturday, Jan. 5. It is hanging under a railroad overpass in Newtown.
Newtown is recovering from a mass
shooting tragedy of its own.
Tucson News Now has received pictures of the banner being hung in
Newtown, Connecticut.
Nearly a month ago, a gunman opened fire in Sandy Hook Elementary
School killing 20 first graders and six adults.
The banner, which hung outside
the Children's Museum in Tucson over the weekend, reads "We're with you
Newtown. From your friends in Tucson, Arizona."
