Happening today, Pima Community College kicks off its first day of the 2013 semester.
Many students will start walking on campus to begin the new 2013 Spring semester, while other students will be logging online to start their semester, and some students won't start classes for a few more days.
That is why PCC is not count enrollment numbers just yet.
The college sees a lot of last minute enrolling on the first day. The flexible class schedules allow for many students to continue enrolling this week.
PCC is continuing to add new programs and opportunities for students.
One career field seeing big growth and promising hope in 2013 is nursing. The college has a new nursing program this year that allows students to earn their bachelor without leaving the campus; it is a joint program with Northern Arizona University (NAU).
This means that students enroll in both PCC and NAU, but can take all their classes with NAU online.
