TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Today one Tucson high school student is being honored for saving another's life, thanks to special training.

The Tucson Fire Department will help honor one young lady who took the skills she learned from local fire departments and helped save a life.

Camp Fury, an all female camp that teaches young ladies all about the fire service, is where Erika Yee learned her CPR skills.

Erika is a student at University High School and back in October Erika put her skills to the test when one of her fellow classmates suffered cardiac arrest.  She performed CPR on her classmate saving their life.

Today Mayor Rothschild will join Tucson Fire and Northwest Fire in presenting Erika with a plaque for her actions.

Mentors from Camp Fury and the doctor who taught Erika CPR will also be at the ceremony, happening at 3:30 p.m. today in the Mayor's office at City Hall.
