TUCSON (Tucson News Now) - Concerns over what fire department will respond to a small northwest side subdivision are coming to an end.
According to the Pima County Clerk, the Mountain Vista Fire Department has gathered enough signatures on a petition to take over the Camino de Manana subdivision.
Fire service to that neighborhood has been in question for the past several months.
An effort by Northwest Fire to annex the area failed last year, as residents balked at paying higher property taxes to pay for service.
