5 injured in east-side crash

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Five people suffered serious injuries late Wednesday night following a crash near Davis Monthan Air Force Base.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at Stella and Kolb Roads just after 10:00 p.m. The fire department used the "Jaws of Life" to cut the roof off of one car to rescue people inside.

All five were transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.  The current status of those injured is not known at this time

Tucson Police are investigating the crash.
