Cuyahoga Falls man arrested for rape

CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH (WOIO) -

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man accused of kidnapping and raping a woman.

Brandon J. Richards, of Cuyahoga Falls, was taken into custody at his home.

Cuyahoga Falls Police took a report of sexual assault and domestic violence in which the victim reported that Richards used a handgun to threaten her.

After obtaining a search warrant for Richards' Bath Heights Dr. home and seizing evidence, detectives arrested Richards as he returned home.

He's charged with Domestic Violence, Trafficking in Marijuana, Rape and Kidnapping. 

Richards is being held at the Summit County Jail.
