The Marana Tigers came into Canyon del Oro Thursday night intent on taking the air out of the basketball in attempt to stay with the Dorados.
It worked in the first quarter as the two teams combined for ten points. But CDO head coach Kelan Williams brought in his second team to turn up the defensive intensity and once the Dorados got the pace in motion they were able to cruise to a 47-34 victory over the Tigers.
The game was not that close in the end as Williams pulled his starters at the end of the 3rd quarter up by 23 points.
Junior forward Ty Ochse led the way for the Dorados. He got hot in the 3rd quarter scoring eight of his game-high 12 points after the intermission.
Jordan Closs-Lopez finished with 11 for CDO (13-7) while Davon Roebuck led the Tigers (4-18) with seven points.
